OG Straws Launches in the UK: Eco-Friendly Straws Supporting Farmers, Veterans, and Mental Health

London, UK – October 2025 — Canadian eco brand Naturally OG Straws, a Shaffer Farms initiative, has officially launched in the United Kingdom with a new program to support local causes. OG Straws UK will donate £5 from every case of 500 rye-grass straws sold to support British farmers, veterans, and mental health initiatives.

OG Straws are made from sustainably grown rye grass, offering pubs, restaurants, and clubs a carbon-negative alternative to plastic. The straws are sturdy, eco-friendly, and rooted in heritage: rye has long been used in both farming and leisure, from golf fairways to early natural straws in 19th-century cocktails.

This initiative mirrors successful programs already underway in Canada supporting hockey families, veterans, and farming communities. With the UK launch, OG Straws aims to create a nationwide network of pubs and distributors committed to eco action and social good.

Participating establishments will receive OG Straws at wholesale pricing, along with promotional materials featuring the OG Straws UK crest. This allows pubs and restaurants to proudly show patrons that every sip they serve contributes to sustainability and community.
