OG Straws for Veterans: Bars Across BC Join the Effort to Support Local Veterans

Vancouver, BC – October 2025 — Naturally OG Straws, a Shaffer Farms brand, has announced the launch of OG Straws for Veterans, a province-wide initiative that blends sustainability with community action to support those who served.

OG Straws are carbon-negative, eco-friendly straws made from Canadian rye grass. For every case of 500 straws sold and used by bars and restaurants, Naturally OG Straws will donate $5 directly to veteran support programs in British Columbia. These contributions will help less well-off veterans and their families access essential resources such as housing, health programs, and community services.

Bars and restaurants that join the initiative will receive OG Straws at competitive wholesale prices, along with promotional stickers and flyers featuring the OG Straws for Veterans logo. This allows establishments to proudly show patrons that every drink they serve helps both the environment and the veteran community.

Naturally OG Straws is now calling on BC bars, pubs, legions, and restaurants to participate in this grassroots fundraising effort. Together, small actions — and small straws — can make a big difference.
