OG Straws for Golf: New Initiative Tees Up Eco-Friendly Straws and Support for Junior Golf Across BC

Vancouver, BC – October 2025 — Naturally OG Straws, a Shaffer Farms brand, has announced the launch of OG Straws for Golf, a province-wide initiative that blends environmental responsibility with community support for the next generation of golfers in British Columbia.

OG Straws are carbon-negative, eco-friendly straws made from Canadian rye grass. For every case of 500 straws sold to golf clubs, bars, and restaurants, Naturally OG Straws will donate $5 directly to junior golf programs in BC, helping cover the cost of green fees, equipment, and travel for less well-off families in the upcoming 2026 season.

Golf clubs, bars, and restaurants that join the initiative will receive OG Straws at competitive wholesale prices, along with promotional stickers and flyers featuring the OG Straws for Golf logo. This allows establishments to proudly show customers that every drink they serve helps reduce plastic waste and supports junior golfers.

Naturally OG Straws is now calling on BC golf clubs, pubs, and restaurants to participate in this grassroots fundraising effort. Together, small steps — and small straws — can make a big difference.
